Got to the airport at 3:30 am, forgetting our first flight was a domestic flight to Gold Coast. Sat around until the airport opened at 4:30.
Got to the Gold Coast and waited in the Terminal for 5 hours for our flight to Tokyo.
One 10 hour flight later and we made it!
Our flight home looks like it will be even more arduous (Jetstar is making us fly from Tokyo to Osaka to Gold Coast to Sydney. Oy Vey.)
Ash and I spent the day walking around Shinjuku. The place comes alive at night with its neon signs. Reminds me of Hong Kong. Managed to work out the Tokyo Subway network, which is a big achievement for the navigationally challenged (i.e. me) :).

I am the first guy post the comment....:) BTW, saturn is sitting on my leg now.
Don't know if working it out includes the fact that there are different companies that look after diff bits - we got a bit stuffed up at one point. Poor Japanese people! They were so nice and we were so silly :p
