Flying Lufthansa for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised to see leather seats in coach! And I never can seem to get around how small Europe--it took but a mere hour and a half in the air to Munich.
I checked into the Kempinski Airport hotel, dropped off my baggage and then took the S-bahn into Munich proper. Reflecting on the entire experience through the airport, I have to say that coming into the Germany was the finest travel experience I have ever had. Everything is so clean and orderly that you just cannot help but zip right through.
I walked about the city center touring about the older buildings and churches. The churches generally have understated facades but when you enter them, its suprising how large and ornate their interiors are.
The next day I met up with Allison and together we went to Claudia and Rodrigo's apartment in the Josephplatz area, where we rested a bit before out trek into Tirol, Austria.
