And like that, the week was almost over. We were back in Praha for the weekend and our flights back home. Really more of the same old buildings and town to walk about. I was surprised how much things cost in the stores and restaurants as I felt overall that the prices were similar to Wien even though Austria has double the per capita GDP of Czech! Which just proves that Praha was overrun with tourists.
Our last night, Navin and I hopped about the bars and clubs looking for Praha's reputed party scene but alas we were confronted with many more tourists and stag laddies and foreign students! When combined with the large daytime crowds, hot weather, and marginal sightseeing--I left feeling down on the city. The one exception and highlight of my visit was seeing Don Giovanni at the Estates Theatre where Mozart himself debuted his opera.
Navin went back to Seattle, while I would spend a few days in Stockholm before flying back to New York.
