Really lazy tonight.  I arrived at the venue at 11.45pm but with a little squeezing through the crowd I managed a good view.  I really hate being a short arse though!  Tonight was good though because I wasn't pushed and shoved like last night and could just stand and watch.  But no matter where you stand it's always going to be cosy!  I was also happy to stand within a large group of Finnish fans.  Way more respectful, and now and then they would translate what Ville was saying.  Although tonight he was much more quiet than last night.  He copped really bad reviews for his behaviour last night.

Unfortunately it didn't stop him coming on stage already drunk.  This annoyed me because his voice didn't sound anywhere as good as it should have.  Silly boy.

But the rest of the band were truly awesome.  Gas the drummer belted the crap out of his drums.  I love watching drummers go mental.  Linde the lead guitarist was also at his best form.  He makes sounds with his guitar that are just amazing, he is truly skilful.

As the show went on Ville's voice thankfully improved as he laid off the beer.  It was also good to see him relate to the rest of the band in a better way.  They have been together since the 90s, but Ville, Mige (bass player) and Linde have known each other since they have been 13.  Their close relationship is very evident, and it's especially obvious and important when Ville needs a slap down.  However, he really is the leader of the group, writing all the lyrics and music.  It's really interesting to watch his presence with the others, he also acts like a conductor, and with simple hand gestures the others know how long to play, what tempo, what volume etc.  They start the night with a set list but it often changes each night, and they discuss this with each other during the show.  One of the benefits of see a band play more than once is that you start to notice a lot of the subtle changes and the personalities.  First shows are always an 'AARRGGH!' moment where I'm so overwhelmed by the experience it just happens to quickly.  In total I'm going to see them play 5 shows while I'm here.  If I had the money and time I would return in June to see them play a number of huge music festivals, like our Big Day Out.  But of course this won't happen.  God bless You Tube and fans that upload videos from the concert so I can re-live moments over and over again.

I'm probably boring everyone with this commentary, but I'm doing it just as much for me as you.  Do you think I'm crazy?!

You should never have to apologise about something that truly makes you happy. Nor should anyone else feel that they have the right to burst that happy bubble either :)
