Went to Stockmann today to buy a tripod for the camera. Garry's great suggestion so I can take successful photos of Northern Lights. The store was packed & I had just bought CDs & a memory card without the need for assistance. Finding a tripod would be easy. I found the camera department & looked at different tripods, saw the brand I liked & proceeded to find the box & purchase it for only 30 Euros.

Later in the hotel I look through all my exciting purchases including a CD of another Finnish band I've discovered. Then it came to open the tripod box. So excited because I've always wanted one. I take it out & can't figure out where the legs are. Well turns out there is only one leg. WTF! Yep I look at the box again and it says MONOPOD on the top. A MONOPOD?! WHY? WHY IS THIS EVEN INVENTED? WHAT'S THE PURPOSE? AAARRRGGGHHH!!

So now I'm the very un-proud owner of a f***ing monopod. I guess I'll have to peg it into the snow to make it stable.
