Today, we decided to get up early to watch the sun rises from the black sand beach. We had to get up by 5:00!! @_@
We waited and waited, and we still couldn't see the sun even though the surroundings are a little brighter already.
Well, I might as well make use of the time to see if I can find any precious stones to bring back... hehehe...
Weee........ the first sign of the egg yolk! And here we are, two sleepy face with the sunrise.
Since we are up, we might as well get our day started earlier.
We moved our stuff from Bluewaves hotel to Hotel Keti. We were there a bit early, and the room wasn't ready yet. Anyway, we left our luggage with the hotel and off we go to find something to eat.
Now, this might sound simple, but I'm already dreading the return journey. Hotel Keti is situated quite far down. And I have to push our luggage all the way down. And you probably have guessed it, there is no escalator to go up again!
This is our simple breakfast for the day. Ice cream in Waffle and coffee. We prefer McDonald's coffee... hehehe.
After breakfast, we went for the mule ride. Mule is actually a cross between donkey and a horse, and it is unlikely that they'll be able to procreate any further.
Look at the amount of mule waiting for us!!
We decided against riding it down, but we want to take a picture of us riding the mule.
This is how Ai Ling look like at the beginning of the journey, and this is how I look like half way through it. Heheheh...
So many mules, of course there will be so many sh*t too!!! We have to make sure we don't step on any of them!
Finally we are there. Eh? It is the same place where we took our boat ride yesterday!
We were too tired to climb up the journey, so we took the cable car instead.
These are some of the fine art works on displayed. I was tempted to try to put on the life size Leonidas helmet :p
Best part, lunch! Salads, Moussaka, squids!
After lunch, we finally get to see the hotel room. Hotel Keti is the best hotel throughout our honeymoon! Best value for money and best view from the room!
You musn't miss the fantastic view of the hotel which I've captured in video!
A great view of the Caldera, and I can already imagine the night view of the Caldera.
After lunch we took a walk throughout the Thira area.
The ice creams and dessert selections blew us away!!
And I have to take a picture of this funny art gallery, Mati .
And this is Atlantis Hotel. Which reminds me Santorini is actually one of the possible location of the legendary Atlantis .
After a tiring walk around Thira, we retired to our room's balcony, and write some post cards while sun bathing :p
In the evening, we went to Selene for dinner. This is the most expensive meal throughout our trip! The ambient was quite nice, but the food is nothing to shout about. I guess we prefer the gyros to Greek fine dining...
We have each a mussel for a complementary starter, fish soup to share, and Ai Ling had cod fish and I have rabbit. Nope, the rabbit is not enough for me...
The sign of the restaurant is pretty well decorated in the stone wall.
Awww..... the night view of the Caldera...
