The next morning I woke up and started getting ready to a little bit of Rome. I knew I did not have much time at all and it is not possibly a city you can do in one day.  I thought that the coliseum would be a given to go and see.  I got a taxi and headed over there.  The traffic in Rome is absolutely crazy.  It is amazing how those cab drivers can drive so close together and don't hit each other; and I thought the flying part was dangerous!  I got to the coliseum in a matter of minutes.  Boy was that place busy as could be.  I know I was at one of the most miraculous sites in the world but all I could think was, "wow I am hungry."  I skipped out on breakfast that morning to try and get most time in the city.

I explored the coliseum for a couple hours.  It is amazing to look at that structure and just imagine all the history that has taken place there.  All I knew about the coliseum before visiting it is what I learned in my ancient Rome class; and also the movie Gladiator of course.  I will say that I was disappointed to that I did not see Russell Crow there.  I thought that one was a given.

After I explored the coliseum for a few hours I went and ate.  That was a game changer because after that I felt much better.  I looked at the clock and panicked because I had to get back to the hotel in 30 minutes.  I booked myself a message because my back had been killing me.  It was kind of pointless because I just fell asleep and it did not even help that much.

I did not get to see a lot of Rome but I definitely got to see what I wanted to see the most.  I was getting excited to go to Crete because I heard a lot of good things about it.  I slept well that night, as I was so tired from my day of sightseeing.
