We took an early morning train from Caen to Paris, then the Metro to the Hotel where we could catch the bus to the airplane we had to catch. Be aware flying Ryanair. You have to know where your airport is, and just how inconvenient it is to reach. It took longer to get from Caen to the airport than it took to fly from Paris France to Girona Spain! As with all Ryaniar flights, the cheerful flight attendants hurry you on and off the plane and you can count on exciting runway landings...SSCCCRRREEEEEEEEEECH! Ryanair would like to welcome you to Girona... 30 minutes ahead of schedule. We then waited over an hour for the bus to take us into Girona proper.

Girona,
A medieval city with spanish flair,
lovely,
expensive,
and booked!
We ended up spending the night at the youth hostel, complete with smelly boys bathroom and wet toilet paper plastering the building across the alley...
(maybe we are too old for hosteling).
We wander through crookey cobbled streets
into a huge cathedral, dark, somber and baroque,
the organ sounds like something out of a late night spook show.
