We spent 4 nights in Calgary. While here, we had breakfast at the Calgary Sky Tower; visited the Glenbow museum; attended a rodeo and chuckwagon races on the Calgary Stampede (CS) grounds; and enjoyed entertainment extravaganza and fireworks. We also participated in a horse drawn buckboard parade.
The Calgary stampede is a city wide celebration known as The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth. For 10 days every July, it boasts the richest afternoon in rodeo, thrilling chuckwagon races, a spectacular theatrical presentation known as the Evening Grandstand Show, agricultural attractions and is one of Canada's largest music festivals. The Calgary Stampede celebrated its 100th Anniversary from July 6-15, 2012.

That seems to be a different kind of experience. Something we don't see much in NH.
