JOHNNY BOY has joined the adventure for 3 weeks....so for 3 weeks it the adventures of SJOBBY!!! Robby thought long and hard about that one.......
So heeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeee's JOHNNY!!!!!! (it's a Johnny Carson joke for those of you who are too young!...or a "The Shinning" joke for Jack Nicholson fans OR Simpsons fans)

Ladies and gentlemen I have been given the privilege of writing this blog entry for Eindhoven. It will be my one and only entry so enjoy it...savour it...cherish it...pretend it's a nice cold pint of beer! In fact prior to reading this entry you should have consumed at least one beer just to set the proper tone for the SJOBBY adventure.

After a long travel day, I was simply looking to settle in and relax at my hotel. Suddenly I was accosted by a gorgeous Canadian girl who desperately wanted me to join her and her best friend for dinner. Who's going to say no to that? We settled into our rooms, the girls already had some warm beer handy which was welcome at the end of a 20 hour journey (FYI the only way you're going to get ice in Europe is if you make it yourself) and then headed out for dinner. Job number one - get a good meal that included protein. As luck would have it a local pub was willing to provide us with steak and beer for a small fee. Thanks Bob and Mary for picking up the tab on this one! After dinner we headed back to the hotel to cap off Robby's birthday celebration. Cards and presents were delivered along with other care packages from home. Job number two was now accomplished and we retired for the evening to get some much needed sleep!

Day two in Eindhoven saw us meeting up with my family (from both sides of the ocean). Theo and Ans had picked up my brother Mark and his wife Julie in Maastricht and drove up to meet us at our hotel. We checked out the Van Abbe Museum in the afternoon and then headed out for a couple pints. Thank you Theo for picking up the tab on that one. Manfred and Moniek met us all for dinner at a little Italian restaurant. Manfred picked up the tab here. After dinner we went back to Manfred's shared photo's and stories (we had several years of catching up to do after all) and drank most of his Amstel. Eindhoven was a grand old time thanks to the generosity of friends and family!

Picture a phantom golf swing here (another Johnny Carson reference for those who don't know)
