Yesterday, I went with a group of the JASIN students to a Togitsu Elementary school. We were given two hours with the sixth graders. They first got all of us to play a competitive game of Janken (same as Rock, Paper, Scissors), We had to beat one person in the first row, then move to the second row and so on until we make it to the sixth grader sitting on the stage--the apparent King of Janken. Then we broke into groups.
My group played a rousing game of basketball followed by an exciting game of Japanese-style dodgeball. After that they escorted s out. Two of the girls asked for my email address and gave me their name badges as *souvenirs*. Once on the bus and headed back to school, many sixth graders ran after the bus for quite a ways waving and yelling *bye-bye*. It was so cute and we had a great time. I was disappointed though that this particular school didn:t reguire uniforms. They:re all so cute in their little jumpers. The first graders did all wear the yellow hats with the chin strap though!
