Hello Friends!
So it has been another exciting week in Senegal.  Training is going well.  I love learning a new language. Namm naa samay xarit ak sama waa ker ci Maine ak ci Amerik, jerijeff. ( I miss my friends and family in Maine and in America a lot. Thank you.)  I really would love to have visitors here because I would love to show you around and introduce you to my family here.  There is something called "Taranga" here and it means "hospitality" and believe me, my family is just awesome and I feel really lucky to have them.

So this past weekend was quite interesting.  First on Saturday I had a wedding to attend after class and while I took only a half hour to get ready...my sisters took three!  They looked beautiful though but then we only stayed at the wedding for twenty minutes!  Later in the evening when I started to get tired I considered going to bed but that was going to be impossible because the holiday Sebar was happening which means "huge drumming circle" and it was happening right outside my house in the big alley way where we also have daily football games.  So if you can't beat em join em, so I went and watched with my family and got to hear some awesome beats and see some incredible dancing.  Then at 2 in the morning I retired only to be woken up again at 5;30 by the Mosque's loud speakers calling everyone to prayer...this, by the way happens every morning.  Then at 9;00 I walked for an hour to the training center to water the tree nursery I started during training.  I work with two other voluntters and its something we'll be doing on our own at site:  which by the way I find out where I will be placed for the next two years this  Friday!!!  Then a big party happened for Easter and I helped crush lots of pepper and peel garlic and then lots of dancing.

I miss you all very much and please send me letters and Care Packages!  Here is my address again;

Miss you!
Desneige, or should I said Ngone: I always look forward to reading your little entries--I am glad to hear that you are doing well! I am thinking of you, and miss you so. I want you to know that I am in the process of putting together a care package to you, so I hope to get that out soon. Lots of love--Liz

Miss you!
Desneige-
Chris and I are so happy that you are having such a good time in Senegal. Next time you feel that you need to get away from Maine, come to Oregon!
Please take care and remember that we are thinking of you constantly.
Love,
Angela, Chris, and Taylor
