We crushed 570 miles today and made it all the way to Reno, NV....we are looking for Cory, but we are about a day early....Mike and I were rolling today...we averaged 82 miles per hour...this INCLUDED our breaks and lunch....I think our average speed was 95-100 for most of the way.

See for yourself....once again, safety first....

Route 50 is called the "Loneliest Highway" in Nevada - for good reason.   I think we passed (in both directions) about 60 cars.

We basically had 15-20 mile stretches of highway and then a mountain pass.  Repeat and repeat until you hit Reno, NV.

I will update this later with the pictures from today and yesterday....

**** Updated....I had some technical difficulties with my laptop, but I have finally been able to get the pictures on the site....*****

We finally hooked up with our little friend Cory for some dinner and treats.  Although he has relocated to the West Coast - Cobo 4 remains the same.  Small in stature - correct; Big in personality - indeed!!!  We went out to eat in Reno to a great restaurant and Cory orders a steak....and A1 steak sauce.  He was upset we couldn't go to Sizzler....

Later on, we headed back downtown for a few more drinks.  Cory is still easy to pack and ship if need be.

I also test drove a new bike for the remainder of the bike in a relatively inebriated state.  Luckily, I stuck with the Harley as it fit me a little better.

We also realized it looked like Mike had gotten new hands installed by this time in the trip from the sun hitting him between his jacket and his gloves.  We thought this was funny...maybe we were bored...

Thanks for the updates
All the pics look good, but your extra miles are taking away from our recent blog entries and pics.

An a local note, you guys missed Friday night hanging out with Coop's Harem (4 deep).

A very minor correction. It is Bob Thomas who is beat.

Need pics of Zion!!!
Yep, I told you it is the Summer of the Coop. Too bad I'm not getting any action...Nice guys finish last.

Did you guys do Zion? Find me some sick routes to do this winter. I bet Utah was awesome. Can't wait for the pictures. Tell Cobo I said hi.

Rick, hang in there bro. It's just a good reason to get out there again! COOP

the wild hogs
I been following your trip cross country and you guys look like a combination of Easy Rider and the Wild Hogs. Scott, do you think that you will come home with a motorcycle mama? Next time that you go, I might get a 'big Hog' and me and my motorcycle mama, Miss diane might hit the open road with you. Miss Diane said she would go if she could ride in a side car. I am sure the Hells Angels won't mind. Enjoy the rest of your trip. Come back soon. Phone service has been terrible since you guys took off. Big Daddy Coop

CoSco Lanes
Wow, what a treat to have seen the homeboys and Heather from MD! Rick, I missed you bro, we'll talk later.

ROLLING THUNDER @ CoSco Lanes:
Check it out, S2H is gonna move out west and we're gonna bring Duckpin Bowling to the left coast! For reals, these mo-foes have never seen or even heard of Duckpin Bowling, crazy. So funny, cuz I remember as a kid hitting dually levels of Duckpin Bowling at Greenway Bowl in Glen Burnie until the fucker burned down. Severna Park Bowling had half-N-half, big balls and little balls, remember? Anyway, we'll make $100,000 just on weekends with kid's birthday parties, league night will be mid-week, open bowl the rest of the time, and Rock-N-Bowl Saturday nights from 11-2. Any other east coast ghosts want in on the action? Just call 867-5309 and ask for our sexretary Jenny.

LIQUOR AT THE Y:-0
Once we capitalize on the Duckpin Bowling front, we're gonna open an All-Nude strip joint/Liquor store in Tahoe City at the 'Y', hence where the name comes from. Again, we'll be the first as there are no strip joints on the entire North Shore of Tahoe. We'll have t-shirts and stickers done-up. Again, for opportunities to join the Team please direct all calls to Jenny, she's a peach!

Throwing out all positive vibes to the boyz & girls, men & women who read this travel blog. Have a wonderful day!
