Hello all.
This is my first blog of 2009, and my first blog from Mexico! I plan to blog every other day, and I will keep them much shorter than they used to be. I'll also share a few pictures with each blog, because I promised myself I'd take at least one picture every day.
First of all, I want to thank all of you who have continued to check up on this blog, time and time again, even though I pretty much gave up on it for 6 weeks. I also want to thank absolutely anyone I spent time with me over "break", because I can't think of a single minute I wasn't having a good time the whole 6 weeks.
I arrived here yesterday, and after a difficult break up with Call of Duty 5, we both decided it was best if we spent some time apart. I'm having a great time here without COD, but in the back of my mind I keep thinking she's seeing someone else (SCOTT!).
The weather here is PERFECT! (check this link if you don't believe me!)
My flights were rather uneventful. For the flight from Houston to Oaxaca, I was in seat 19C... sounds decent, until you sit there... it was literally 3 feet from the jet engine, and 3 feet from the door to the bathroom... and the toilet was on the other side of the wall behind my head... boy can those things FLUSH!
I knew this was going to be a good city when as soon as I arrived at the airport, there was an Audi A3 parked out front! The Mountains are gorgeous.
P.S. I'm living in a mountainside mansion... no biggie... my bedroom's probably only 500 square feet... (serious time - I've never seen a bigger bedroom in my life than the one I've been assigned for the next 4 months.) My bedroom might be bigger than the flats I was staying in in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
SURPRISE!!!! Everyone here speaks Spanish and I don't... I'm going to have to see what I can do about that. I spent 2.5 hours today at a church service - the time would have gone by a little quicker if they spoke English.
Alright. Enough for now. I think I'm getting the city tour tomorrow... so expect some pics!

Hi
Miss you already but I have to agree that time away from COD will not be a bad thing. You are going to make everyone think - go be a missionary in a foreign land- get a big house! Let me know what you find out about the language schools sounds like they will be very helpful. Glad you are there safe Love you Mom
Steves!
