Just finished the longest plane ride of my life. Wow. Time actually went by fairly quickly considering the fact that I was sitting in a (rather uncomfortable) chair the entire time. I couldn't really get myself to fall asleep, probably because I couldn't really fit into my seat. My five foot seat mate didn't have a problem (heck, she even pulled her knees up and put her feet on her chair once). The wait-staff was extremely nice and friendly and helpful. I don't think they liked me much though, I probably tripped about five of them when my long legs decided they wanted to push me feet out into the narrow aisle ever so slightly.

One of the coolest parts of the flight was the touchscreen computers in the back of all the headrests. I spent most of the flight playing games (Luxor), learning basic Thai phrases and vocab words (uh oh, I forgot them all ;-) choosing feature films to watch, watching scrubs, listening to Asian Hit-list Radio, and the coolest part, watching the plane's position move across a satellite image map, while flipping between video camera's mounted on the front and bottom of the plane, and checking real time flight info, such as windspeed, groundspeed, altitude, and distance traveled. Overall, I would do it again (except for the shrimp and rice breakfast)

When I looked at the map and saw that the plane I was sitting in was halfway between America and the Far-East it really hit me that this really isn't Kansas anymore.

Also, I've got 24kg worth of carry-on bags, and the limit is 7kg, so we can keep that our dirty little secret.

If you're reading all of these posts, you're either really bored, or really excited about my trip... They're not good, and I know that... I apoligize agian... they will get better I promise. I'm just trying to write it down so I don't forget my thoughts (don't they call that journaling)?

Hi
Thankful you made the trip with no problems--unless you count shrimp & rice for breakfast as a problem, which I would.

Keep the posts and pictures coming.
