The hotel we are staying at is enormous, with a huge pool and a decent breakfast. And wireless! We had a pretty early breakfast and hit the road at 8:30 to do a tour around Vienna on the bus, then a walking tour. From here we went to the Swarovski store then free time. Christi and I hit up the sales then went to the famous Sacher Hotel and dined on the Original Sacher Torte, which is chocolate cake with marmalade, and cafe lattes. We exchanged some money in preparation for Prague, then headed to meet the group. We went to a Schnaps Distillery to see how they make the beverage Austria is famous for, and of course sample it. The owner was a hilarious old man, who really made the experience all the more better. I tasted absinthe (ick), rocket fuel (said to cure any cough or congestion), and an orangey kind with gold flakes in it. From here we made our way to Schonbrun Palace for our photos, then back to the hotel for free time. I repacked my bags, and finally had to break out my extra duffle bag. A group of us walked across the street to the huge shopping mall and had a not-so-great Mexican meal. I have spent the rest of the night blogging, trying to take advantage of the wireless while I can. It's hard to believe only a week remains. I've been having the time of my life! On to Munich tomorrow!
