Finally arrived in Redding for winter break. After flying into SFO and taking the BART from SFO up to the Concord station, I was picked up by my mother for the 3-hour drive up to Redding. Long drive, but it feels good to be done with the cross-Pacific travel. I knew I would miss the craziness of Shanghai in the small town of Redding, but it was nice to have a soft bed to sleep on and warm carpet to walk on. Ah, the little luxuries of the American lifestyle :-)
