Where I stayed
Today we drove for about 2 hours to get to the Arenal Volcano. We got slightly offtrack on the drive but it only set us back a few minutes, overall.
When we got to the hotel it was almost completely clear, which isn't always the case. It was quite beautiful and we felt fortunate to see so much as soon as we got there.
After checking in we went for a hike to a waterfall and went for a little swim in it's pool. After we went on 2 hanging bridges on the trail. I guess they are common here in Costa Rica. As usual the kids wanted to swim in their pool. We had dinner and watched the volcano as the sun set, hoping for a big explosion.
Unfortunately, we didn't see any huge lava flows, but we did see quite a few good-sized puffs of smoke.
