Where I stayed
Today we traveled from Puerto Viejo de Limon to Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui. We rented a car and left our cozy little bungalow. We plan to spend a night or 2 in a jungle spot and then move on to Arenal Volcano.
Stace loved the fact that he was drinking a beer at noon WHILE filling out the paper with the car rental guy....so he had me take a picture.
The drive was nice. It took about 3 1/2 hours. We have never traveled this side of CR. We saw a lot of beautiful bridges and amazing greenery. The pics I took don't do them justice.
We planned to enjoy our hotel a bit in the afternoon, but it didn't work out that way. Right as we got to town around 4, we stopped to eat. Just then it started raining and got really dark, really fast. From that point on it never got light or stopped raining. Oh, well. As we hung out in our room, Brody said, "mom, look behind you", so I looked OUT the window, when he was trying to show me a cockroach that was about 6 inches from my face on the windowsill. It was pretty big. Stace tried to capture him and he started flying around the room. Stace screamed and scared all of us. It was pretty funny.
Hopefully, we will have sun and some time to check out this area in the morning.
