Where I stayed
Today we took a really long bike ride on the bikes we rented. It was really fun to explore a new area on a new vehicle. The twins loved riding on the handle bars. Although there are tons of bikes, the cars still drive by WAY too fast, so it is good that Brody & Alex were riding with us.
After the bike ride we went to the beach right across from our hotel. It was a beautiful beach. We were shocked at how much it looked like Manuel Antonio. We had been told and read that it was very different on the Caribbean side, but the beach was very similar. The town and vibe has it's own unique feel and we really like...very relaxed.
At the beach the kids made friends with a local girl. Her name was Indiana, she was 6 yrs. old and spoke Spanish, English and Italian, fluently! That would be pretty rare in the US, but I think more normal in the other parts of the world.
For dinner Katie insisted that she knew of a great little soda. Unfortunately, it was in the opposite direction of town and a bit farther than she remembered. We ate there anyway and she felt pretty good picking out the restaurant.
When we first arrive we were a little skeptical whether or not this town was going to be a good fit for our family, but we are really enjoying it now! May stay an extra night or 2, we'll see...
