We then headed to Coulter Bay within the Grand Tetons. Rob got to see his first wildlife, a herd of elk
. The kids participated in a couple of Ranger talks about the wildlife of the Tetons Tuesday evening. Wednesday morning had us up bright and early as we headed to a ranger lead hike to Inspiration Point. The hike was a good 3 hours and we saw Yellow-Bellied Marmouth, Pika, Uinta Ground Squirrel, Elk, and Caribou and a spectacular view. The hiking reminded me of a good step aerobic class. Most of the hike took place in the rain; the kids were real troopers. By the time we made it to the top, we were treated to gorgeous weather and view definitely worth the trip. It was easy to see why it was called Inspiration Point. We are so glad Rob is finally able to share these wonderful adventures with us!
We just don't know how it happens but each view is spectacular in its own right and the wildlife is amazing. We thank God we live in this country where we can partake of such beauty and enjoy his majesty each and every day!
A new adventure has started for the Dusse Family. Rob joined us late Monday as we finished up our visit in Jackson, Wyoming. Our first stop, the Boot Barn so Rob could get fitted for his own cowboy boots. We couldn't let him be the only cowboy without boots. We enjoyed a nice evening together and then headed out Tuesday morning. Before leaving Jackson Hole, we stopped at the village and took a tram up to the top of the mountains. The Florida kids were excited to be playing in lots and lots of snow. This time they were dressed properly for their snowball fight with daddy. The view from the top was again, breathtaking! The kids were more impressed however by the heated bench and the heated waffles with Nutella...what cold weather treats!
