That night was the fiesta, so there was much dancing and drinking and general merriment
. A good finish to the day anyway! Tuesday morning we walked in to La Alberca and had a tour of the village, which I had on the previous time I was here. So halfway through a few of us ditched out and went shopping instead! At lunch everyone at our table was exhausted since the earliest most of us have gone to bed has been 3am so far...after the bar closes or when we have come back from town people gather at one of our villas (usually mine & Cristina's) and continue chatting till all hours. But it was catching up though, so our table decided to leave right after lunch and walk back to the hotel rather than wait for the vans. This way we managed to get about 15 extra minutes for a siesta!
So then last night everyone decided to make an early night of it, despite Jose Luis's efforts to round up a party....there's always tomorrow!
Monday morning started out as a downer with "the talk"....it seems some of the Spaniards are still speaking Spanish a whole bunch, and not so much with the English. Which, since this is an English program, is a bad thing! So Marta had to have a chat with the Spaniards, telling them basically to stop speaking Spanish or else they would be sent home...well, as you can imagine it didn't go over well! Arguing and yelling ensued, as well as accusations of various sorts, drama drama. Davy had a chat with the Anglos explaining what was going on, needless to say from that point things were pretty tense. Everyone ended up staying, and after some bitching and complaining from a couple people, we were able to move on. And with a lot more English speaking! Amazing how it only takes a couple people to ruffle the feathers of 30 some people.
