This weekend the family went away, so I had the house completely to myself for 3 days! Very exciting. Watching movies, lounging by the pool, cooking, sleeping in late, hanging out with friends...The highlight was going to see El Canto Del Loco on Saturday! They're a Spanish band who put on a great concert. It was outdoors, in the middle of the city (Alcala) and on a gorgeous night, a great crowd, lots of singing, dancing and screaming, fantastic!

At the same time I survived my first night of speaking only Spanish! All in all it went well, I understood most of what was said to me, but since I rarely speak in Spanish (I speak to the family in English, they respond in Spanish or English!) I need a lot more practice speaking. By the end of the evening (or early in the morning as it were) my poor brain was in overload, so David took pity on me as we walked back to his place and switched back to English! In the morning we went for breakfast. Reason #43965 I love Spain: churros! Not just regular ones though, churros served with a cup of warm melted chocolate to dip them in....Oh.My.Goodness. How good is that! And for breakfast...I'm telling you, the Spanish know how to do food right ;)
