So I was wondering how long it would take before people started getting tossed in the pool...one should never ponder these things. Guess who got thrown in fully clothed?? Ahem, me. But the perpetrator got his own surprise later ;)
Monday night was the Quiemada, Marta and I spent our O2O translating the reading in to Italian, so there were 4 versions this time
Tuesday night was the fiesta, and all started out fine with people dancing, having some drinks, and generally enjoying themselves. It all went horribly wrong though when in the fray of dancing Joanne was bumped and fell on the floor, landing on her wrist. Pietro (who happens to be a doctor) looked at it and said right away that it was broken, so off they went to the hospital. Unfortunately, he was right, but the worst part was they weren't able to reset it. So, Joanne had to stay in the hospital for the rest of the week waiting until they could do surgery. Luckily her husband Bob was also on the program so she had a loved one nearby. What an amazing woman though, she was so strong and didn't want to upset anyone or ruin their evening and kept saying she was fine. Even at the end of the week when she finally got out of the hospital she had such a good attitude about the whole thing and was so upbeat, very inspiring.
