I was going to say that the trip back was uneventful, but I guess it wasn't completely dull. I dropped the rest of the crew off at the airport around noon. My flight wasn't until almost 9pm, so my original plan was to go check out Cite de l'Espace, which is a big science centre which focuses on space. So there are exhibits where you can try weightlessness, docking a space shuttle, etc. However, when I got there half of it was closed sue to high winds that day! Instead I decided to head downtown and wander.

I drove down there no problem, found a parking spot, and had gone of about 2 blocks when I came around the corner and ran into a mass of people! It was the remainders of 9000 protestors who were starting to disperse. Luckily in Toulouse it had remained peaceful, whereas in Paris as ususal things had got out of control. Anyway, it was neat to see that many people out in the streets, many dressed up in costumes carrying signs. I read afterward that 4 people were arrested, but I didn't see any excitement happening!

When my flight got in to Gatwick, I then had a 2 hour train ride to go. My plan was to snooze most of the way. Unfortunately, it was Saturday night, and a rigby match between England and Ireland had just let out. So guess who the train was full of? Hundreds of drunk rugby lads singing songs liek "swing low sweet chariot" and "oh Danny Boy"! And aruging about who played better, and who could kick whose ass, etc. Highly entertaining, but not sleep-friendly.

I am in Southampton for one day, to re-pack and head out again! This time to Egypt for two weeks. We leave for the airport at 6am tomorrow, so it should be another long day! But worth it of course :)
