And where is home, you ask? Depending on when you catch me, the answer may be Vancouver, or it may be Calgary. Usually it depends on what I am missing at the moment! Anyway, I arrived in Van almost a week ago, and time has flown by as usual. After recovering from jet lag, I did all the things I love about home: hanging out with friends and my Mom, shopping, getting my nails done, going dancing, eating great food...what more could a girl want! I even made it over to the Sunshine Coast for a few days, and made Christmas crafts with Mom. Melissa was a sweetie for putting up with me staying with her for most of the week, I seem to be a bad influence on her when it comes to shopping (but you love the leather jacket, right??). Really, none of you are shocked I am sure!
The bizarre thing was that almost from when I arrived to today, Van has been completely socked in with fog. Which is unfortunate as I wanted to take a few pics to show on my trip, but what can you do. And the saddest thing is that there is a huge tree at the end of the street I used to live on, that they decorate with thousands of lights every year. It's right on the waterfront, and gorgeous!! The sad part is I was there too early, and missed it. But I guess if that's the worst thing, I'm doing well.
Tomorrow I drive to Calgary!
