The cool weather today was a nice change from the mugginess. I met up with Emily again, and we headed down to Brick Lane Festival, as well as the International Curry Festival. The place was packed! Walking was crazy, it was wall to wall bodies. We wandered through the market, and of course sampled some curry. Mostly we people watched, and chatted. Although Em and I look very different (in her opinion, I look "Canadian" as I wear more colours than just black and grey!) I was surprised to learn that we have quite a bit in common.

Apart from being much more mulitcultural than you would see in Calgary, the feel of the crowd was very relaxed given how many people were crammed in such a narrow street. Lots of great food, cool music, and wonderful shopping! After we met up with some of her squat friends (an education in and of itself) and then headed off to the "most dire pub in all of England", the Victoria. There I met Troy, Allan and John (John being perhaps the sweetest guy I've ever met!). We listened to some crazy retro tunes (such as Rasputin), watched some outrageous dancing, and had some laughs. Good times.

Anyway, all in all London has been fab, I could see myself staying here for a bit...but not at the moment of course. Tomorrow I am off to Athens, where it is supposed to be 35 degrees!
