One day on a flight I was working as a flight attendant, I met a passenger who is the editor of
Rolling Out Magazine. His name is Munson Steed. He is my muse. He shared with me the pre-launch of Black Atlas which is American Airlines website to promote African American travel.
Munson really got into my head  with some deep-thought provoking conversation. Anyway, he inspired me to record my journeys by creating travel videos or travel guides.

I went home and bought my self a camera from Radio Shack. I took it back because I couldn't figure out how to work. Then I exchanged it for a Kodak Zi8 which I love. The color is awesome in daylight. It doesn't work very well in the dark. I used that camera until it stop working. Then I bought a Kodak Easy Share M380. It doesn't work well in the dark either, but I have taken about 8,000 photos and videos with these two cameras. I have definitely gotten my monies worth.

I also purchased a MacBook Pro. At first I had planned to sign up for the Travel Channel Academy school to learn how to create travel videos. My friend Kenny advised me against it because I was not familiar with Final Cut. I am glad he did. He said it is one thing to be 20 years old and learn Final Cut in two days versus being 50 something and trying to learn it.

Kenny gave me the Final Cut Express Book from Apple which he ordered online from Amazon.
It contains a DVD with a tutorial on creating movies. I went through the lessons just fine, but when it came to creating the movie by myself I was frustrated. I am so happy that I didn't sign up for Travel Channel Academy. I was not ready for Final Cut Express.

Now I use iMovie. I love it. It is so easy for me to use. Kenny told me to sign up for the One to One program at Apple. It is only available when a person buys a new Apple product. The One to One Workshop gave me unlimited access to learning how to use my Macbook Pro. It is like an Apple School. I would visit the Apple Store on Michigan Avenue in Chicago and spend the day just learning about the latest Apple Technology. The One to One program even gives you access to Personal Projects. An Apple Trainer can help you create a movie from start to finish.
It really is a great program.

This  is the new evolution of my blogging endeavors. I must admit that I have evolved into a geeky flight attendant. I developed from a world traveler to someone who shares her experiences as a travel writer, travel blogger, photographer, video editor, and social media consultant.
