Tofino greetings i know i didnt write a blog yesterday but to be honest there really wasnt that much to say! as i did some work and relaxed! Although I also met with bob hansen , who is the project leader for the Wildcoast Project, which is located in the Clayoqout Sound UNESCO Biosphere Reserve on Vancouver Island! So we met yesterday to discuss my dissertation/project how best that Bob can assisst me with data information and contacts and how the information that I collect can be fed baack into the projects to update some of their stats. So today I decided my first port of call was to the 'Friends of Clayoqout Sound' who are the people working on the forefront of environmental protection and support for Clayoqout.! The were able to provide me with some very useful contacts and organisations that may be able to provide me with my project. But more than that i talked to Kevin who along with another of his colleagues took us on along the schooner trail in Clayoqout when we were here at easter, and talking to him about some of the issues that the park is facing and the battles and politics that go hand in hand with them made me seriously think that this is quite possibly the type if work that I want to become involved in when i graduate!
Most of the other places that I wanted to visit were actuallly closed today as a lot of places are closed on mondays but there is a long list of people and places that i am going to visit tomorro to gather opinion, statics and info on the matter at hand!
