Magda, you were right! What can I say about Wroclaw, what A fantastic little city. I am just going to have to accept the fact that that I am going to be as amazed by the cities that I will be visiting as by the last one. I had planed on staying for three days, stayed for eight. staying at the Cinnamon Hostel. One very nice experience with this hostel, in fact one of the greatest staffs, even gave me my seventh night free. Will definitely return.
Here, the "Old Town Square" at its lighting at night, is the most beautiful that I have seen. Just outside of the Square, is the University. Between the University and the Square, some of the most amazing, pubs, nightclubs, and oh yes some very delicious and cheep food. The food here is as good as Cechy! There is to be a music festival in mid September that I am told that I should not miss. Maybe, I will make it back for it! Wroclaw, river walk includes a chain off connected Islands, with historical points of interest as well as a city park in between them. I spent hours walking around there.
Went to see what they called the Panorama Ractawicka. This is a circular building with a 360 degree picture painted on it of one of Poland's more famous battles. This Pamorama, is one of about six that are throughout Europe. Now on my list, of things I have to see, is the Panorama  in Belgium,  Napoleon's, Battle at Waterloo.
For the most part I spent most of my days around the Square and the University. Found the Greatest student milk bar, Brasila, and a great self surve Buffet place a couple of blocks away. During the days, I would pop into this little student bar, Kalogrodek. This turns out to be a favorite hangout for Left wing activists and followers as well as backpackers.
Well, I am a backpacker, I am left handed, and to a friend back home, Ned! a lot more left leaning then the old conservative that he makes me out nto be.. Hum-mm... I am living out my dream, here in Europe, whilst you my friend... are still following the crowd.
I meet with Marta, who was in Wroclaw to see her tutor. She is planing on going to the University in October and is now studying for her entrance exams in mid September. So we had a chance to meet at Kalogrodek's for a few beers and the afternoon chatting, until I walked her to the train station and sending her back home and to her studies. Seems like I am always seeing this girl off to somewhere and saying goodbye.
I have finally got my new camera figured out and will be able to start posting night pictures. Something the old camera just wont do.
I am off to Germany to get my prescriptions for my blood pressure filled for the next few months, then back to Prague, to finalize some details regarding my school in October, then off again for more travel. I still want to make my way through the Ukraine and down to the Black Sea.

better late than never!
dear son, So good to hear from you, been looking every day....glad also that you also shared with me, helps me understand where you are, just be happy.
If I were younger, no make that healhier, I would join
you now and than on your adventurers. Haven't given up on that yet, as I do believe in the power of prayer, and leaving it to 'my higher power' to make it happen....Most the time I feel stronger, then we get rain & humidity then my back drives me nuts. Think Felix, huracane that went thru our honduras, now in Mexico, will be here in a few days to rain some more on my parade...The area does need the rain, this is a big crop area. Dad had his 100 mile checkup, his sugar was a bit higher, got to watch the diet more closely, he got injections in both knees, hopefully they will get him thru this project HOWEVER, may not be his last project, as last week they had him walk thru the marine base that is only a few miles from where we live here in Yuma . they are renovating the barracks, and some other buildings, he does not really want to retire, Peg said he will work til his knees 'crumble' she is right!!! She gets deployed out of anchorage, the 10th to who knows where. She will miss friends there and kim and kids as she has seen them more this time. Everyone well, Take care and keep the news coming this way...Love ya MOM
