Where was the movie Hostel filmed?? Anyone..... Anyone.... Yes it was filmed here in Cecky Krumlov!

Hey Pete, you should of stayed over for another night!!

So, Started off my last night In Cecky with my two new roommates,  Laura and Claire, both  British,  and landed in the  "Horor club" for a couple of drinks.  Lily, again was bartending, and this time agreed to take a photo with me. As both my  British mates were craving for a good meal of either ribs or steak, and I new the perfect place for that, we were soon off to "Papa's Living Restaurant" for another fantastic meal.

You know, I can't remember having so many great meals in a single place like I have here in Cecky.

So after dinner and a little hike around the town center, we went and looked for a cocktail bar for cocktails, ie... Absinthe cocktails. Absinthe for anyone interested is a drink from this area, now illegal and baned the world over in its original form.  Highly hallucinogenic. Today, it allowed to be brewed to up to, I believe, 60 percent of its original potency.

So finding our cocktail bar we took our whack at Absinthe. First,  we had to decide, would it be straight shots, or mixed in cocktails?  With shots, the most popular way to down Absinthe is in a spoon of sugar, you pour absinthe on the sugar, light it, then plunge the spoon into the drink, and then shoot it down. Having seen what this did to Nicole and Lauren back in Prague,  and also with my two British friends own experiences  with this stuff we wimped out and went with the cocktails.

We got into both the red and the more potent green, and after about six cocktails I was again entering that relaxed mellow and happy stadge. Since recently, I am such a great authority on getting high, as this Absinthe is more like a high then getting drunk. It was great stuff, it was probably the mixes, but the taste reminded me of  "peppermint snaups."

Like in Amsterdam, I knew when I got where I wanted to be with the Absinthe, so spent some time with my buzz while I chilled and listened to some great Latin music.

One really wierd thing, I was awoken in my sleep that night! As I remember this set of hands coming through the hostel window and pulling me outside.

Willl I am going toget back on the road where I will be heading towards Poland!!

Stay tuned
