We drove up from Lake Tepako to drop off some supplies to our friends in Christchurch as they have no bread, water etc. They live a few kilometers on the West side of the CBD and you just wouldnt know anything has happened there. How crazy just a mile away is like a war zone!

We then continued driving North and stopped the night at Kaikoura.

Kaikoura is like a seal zone with lots of seals sunning themselves on the rocks of the black beaches. We bracely went to investigate and get some snaps - however Jon couldnt stand the stench for too long....
