Where I stayed
I am in Kochi (Cochin). I arrived here from Bangalore on Kingfisher Airlines. Kochi is a sea city in the state of Kerala. They speak English and Malayalam.
We drove to Kumarakom to stay at the Coconut Lagoon. Here is their website. http://www.cghearth.com/coconut_lagoon/coconut_lagoon_reception.htm
The bathroom was open-air but part of the room!
I enjoyed the pool to cool down, as it felt like 95 degrees outside. My parents and grandparents took turns enjoying traditional massages.
Ajji and I went on a walk to see a village. We saw cows, chickens, goats, birds and rice fields. The farmers grow white and brown rice. If they flood the rice fields, the rice gets bigger and brown.
At dinner, we saw a traditional dance called Kathakali (see video). The dancers wore vivid colors. It is a 400 year old dance.
Later, at 2 o'clock a.m, my dad woke me up saying that our room has a rat in it!
