I stopped off for a while to get a break from driving and to visit my old friend and neighbor in Albuquerque.  As the mountains started to come into view I knew that my trip was really beginning.  The views from driving are pretty stunning, and the closer you get to them it just gets better and better.  This is a welcomed break from the plain flat desolate area that is late Texas/Early New Mexico. 

I only stopped by for an hour or too, but it was enough to recharge from driving and hang out with some cool people who were excited about being in a new place.  And so, after this rest, I began what was to become the true journey!
