after a leisurely breakfast, (getting quite used to these late mornings), we set off exploring. first stop Beverly Wilshire hotel, (pretty woman), not as big or imposing as you would think from the movie, then Rodeo Drive walked up and down, didn't bother going in any of the shops, didn't want to be treated like Julia, lol got on the trolley tour and that was a nice way to see the area, houses are massive, especially Clark Gables old house, which takes up a whole block, guide pointed out some houses where people used to live, that was interesting. lots of men in black in the area today, Golden Globes are on tonight didn't spot any celebrities except for one in a green dress, too far away as we drove past the Beverly Hills Hotel where they were being held, will have to watch on Tele to see if we can spot who it was. got the Metro out to Santa Monica Pier, and had a wander around out there for a few hours, lunch at Bubba Gumps on the Pier, then after a bit of a wander through the mall, where they had stalls and street performers, caught the metro back to Rodeo Drive, then a short walk back to hotel. David coming down with flu, so bath and early night for him, Disneyland tomorrow!
