Sitting at the airport in Albuquerque waiting for our flight to Houston, then Frankfurt, then Istanbul. Should be there by tomorrow morning Mountain time (4pm Istanbul time).
Before leaving we had another beautiful snowstorm in Taos....too bad we decided not to go skiing (didn't want to have to cancel Istanbul for a hurt ankle, leg, etc. So we played it safe. But the snow fell in beautiful, big, wet snowflakes. We were having dinner at El Meze in preparation for our meals in Turkey.
Yesterday we drove from Taos in separate cars (I have to go to work when we return from Houston and won't be back until after Paul returns). I'm a bit dazed even though we went to bed early, but I guess it'll be an incentive to sleep on the plane (yeah, right!).
Anyway, just wanted to let you know that the journey has begun.....look for updates on my travel blog in the days to come!!
