We drove (on Sunday afternoon) to Albuquerque from Taos in time for dinner with
friends who were visiting from Missouri (and moving back in November!). Made it with a ferocious thunderstorm
announcing our arrival. Had a
lovely dinner with Chris and Nicole and their precious one, Grace. The evening was a short one and awoke
early enough to take a flight at 8am.
The morning, still drizzily from the night before, broke with subtle
fanfare. As the sun begin to break
through the clouds behind the mountains, the sky turned a golden color. You may get a sense for it from the
photo.

I, too, will be in the 'burque area for an oh so brief visit to support my niece who turns sixteen Saturday. It will be a quick turnaround and back to teaching in Mesa. Hope you have a wonderful break with all the relations.
Will be travelling Taos-ward in October and hope to encounter you both for either a meal, a sleep over, a long visit over a bottle of vino.
