Today we woke up with the worse hangover. Mel wasn't feeling well at all. We went down to the lobby for breakfast, checked out of our room, met up with the rest of the group and we walked to the pier to catch a boat.

The boat ride was fun. We got splashed by the waves a bit. It took the opportunity to pull out my camcorder and the shoot the scenery. We stopped at a pier and bought some bread so we can feed the fish. These giant catfish came right to the surface and grabbed the bread right out of our hands.

Jim, from Melbourne, got motion sickness and vomited off the side of the boat.

After our boat ride, the group split up and went different ways. We went to the Grand Palace with the couple from Melbourne, Julie from Germany and Kevin(?) from Nebraska. His wife was sick and spent the day at the hotel.

Once we made it to the Grand Palace, Jim and I couldn't get in because our pants (shorts) weren't long enough. due to the long waiting lines to borrow suitable clothes, we decided not to visit the palace on that day and went for a walk to the market and then grabbed a bite to eat in this small little restaurant.

After our lunch took a tuk tuk ride back to the hotel to shower and meet up with everyone in preparation for our overnight sleeper train to Chiang Mai.

Before taking the train we had a little meal, then bought some fruit and painkillers to cure our horrible hangovers and then we hopped on the train.

The train nicer than I expected, thank god (don't really). There were big confortable booths that transformed into bunk beds. They were quite confortable and roomy.

There was a bar on the train but I didn't go, instead I geeked out with Kevin and talked technology and debated Apple vs. Android.

After a while, I asked the train attendant to make the bed so I could pass out.
