Unexpected excursion to Blankenberge

Where I stayed
On another amazingly beautiful day, we went out to the market (if there is a Saturday market.. there must be food! ! !)
Surprisingly there were not too many food stalls, but we still managed to get a whole mini ham roasted (absolutely divine!) and some bread rolls for a pic-nic. Few more bits at the supermarket and then headed to the station to take the train to Blakenberge that is by the beach.
After lunch by the sea, we went to a special attraction: The Sand World (it is a sand sculpture exhibition). It was definitely far more impressive than expected, with sculptures of people, buildings and animals representing different countries. Totally amazing !
After a long walk under the hot sun, we headed back to Bruges....
