I think the BBC used to say something along the lines of 'there now follows a short interlude'.

Well, whilst that should perhaps have been the title of my previous entry; it wasn't - so thought I ought to do a brief update and show that I am still alive and haven't kicked back totally.

In Charlie and 'his actor friends' media motorcycle roadshow there was drama at the end of one of their episodes when Mr Booringman accidentaly squirted petrol into Ewan's eye. That cliffhanger came back to me today as I was at the beach. Details at the end - well it is meant as a cliffhanger!

During my time here I've been wandering around and enjoying the laid back lifestyle a little too much. There's been some great weather and I'll confess to having spent a great deal of time at the beach and enjoying some fab time in the warm sea. The waves are great and whilst I'm also swimming a fair bit it's been nice just goofing around in the waves. My tan is also levelling itself out and I haven't now just got a motor cyclists brown face neck and hands.
I'm usually not one for lounging around on a beach but have enjoyed every minute here.

I've also at last started myself  back into yoga and feel happy to have made that step. The yoga venue is set just back just from the beach and the early evening class looks out onto the setting sun. Special times indeed.

The bad bit to all this R&R is I was also cajoled into visiting the dentist a couple of days back. The bloody dentist - I'm riding a bike and having happy times and the next thing I know is I'm in an auto and off to the surgery. Women eh?

Elvis was right about some women being the devil in disguise. Look and talk like an angel but then turn and before you can say 'I'd rather not' you're in a chair and the drills whirring.  I even had to pay for this experience!  Still, my teeth are cleaned and hopefully that'll do until the next time I have to visit the dentist. Still it was much less discomfort than 'Doctor 15 minutes no pain'.

So, it's now Thursday evening, I've just consumed a stunning red snapper meal (grilled to perfection) and I'll be heading off to the chill lounge for some live music they apparently have on.

I've been lucky enough to not only secure top accommodation but have also enjoyed the company of many people from various countries whilst here.

There currently appears to be an Irish theme continuing through my travels though. I've met lovely Italians living there, people who used to live there and more worryingly a group of female psychologists who must have thought they were on a bus man's holiday. If any of you guys are reading this please feel free to post a comment - it was great meeting you.

It was also great to bump into Vanessa again as she made her way up the coast before heading to Nepal. She looks so much better than she did in lovely Pondicherry and I probably shouldn't have described to her so accurately how poorly she was - sorry  ;-)

I'll try and upload a photo or two in the next 24 hours and will be back on the road again soon.

I've still a long way to go!

As for the cliffhanger................an excess of suntan lotion and salt water had me wandering the beach doing my best Stevie Wonder impression. Oh to have an actor friend, support crew, medic, fixers, mechanic etc etc etc
