Greymouth - On our way to Franz Josef Glacier we stopped in Greymouth for a spot of excellent quad-biking....really rough terrain....great fun! We stopped at Punakaiki too, it is best known for its pancake rocks......which produce all sorts of interesting shapes as they are slowly eroded away by the sea.

We also came across "Barrytown". Now we know where Roddy Doyle bases all those books....it's not a poor part of Dublin at all....it's actually right here in New Zealand!
