We awoke in the morning to find the tent's 'living room' section was around an inch-deep in water - it seems that the trusty battered blue tent had finally succumbed and lost its waterproof qualities. Luckily few of our things were wet and the sleeping area was fine. We spread out our soggy possessions on the grass and they soon dried, then went for a drive around the island in hunt for a barbeque. We never found one, but we did explore pretty little Krk town, steeply perched around its harbour with tiny winding streets, roman walls and a little cathedral with a trumpet-blowing angel perched on top. Returning to Baska we gave up on our barbeque plan and ate pizza by the beach whilst watching the lightning light up the bay, blissfully unaware of the fact that our tent was once again filling with water...
