Moscow is HUGE! Turns out it the biggest city in Europe. We have seen a tiny tiny part of it, the bit around Red Square. At the moment there is a large military display in the centre of the square so we didn't really get to appreciate the magnitude of it but we did see some British, Belgian, Mexican and Russian military bands marching and practising. The show is tonight so we will miss it!
We did visit the Kremlin and see all the security outside (and in) and all the churches. There are about 28 golden domes inside the Kremlin, that is on top of alot of churches. We were unable to visit the most famous church in Russia as the police ordered everybody out of the red square as we went in to see it.
We did visit Lenin though. He didnt say much and we were hurried along and shushed when we spoke. Very odd formal affair!
In conclusion, Russians appear stern and unfriendly but usually are helpful. The girls wear stillettos all the time, even to the supermarket. Mullets are everywhere and you can get your hair plaited at the shopping centre. Russian pose infront of everything, pouting and supermodel poses. We have lived off of things we can point at and 'mystery pastry'. Good times though.
We will be on the train for the next 3 days so will update when we get internet again! xxx
