We waited for a sunny day for a trip to Peterhof, having read it really needed good weather to do it justice. After Rosie finally managed to part company with her bed we embarked on our first excursion beyond the city centre. Although it was the pricier option we indulged ourselves with a trip on the Hydrofoil.
When we arrived the beautiful sunshine from St Petersburg had deserted us and it was quite overcast. Fortunately the weather soon remedied itself and the fantastic fountains and golden statues glistened suitably. There where about 12 really large and very beautiful fountains and many smaller. The surrounding gardens covered over 25 hectares with woods and paths and streams from the palace to shore. It is a beautiful beautiful place.
The gardens were full of wildlife, although stupid kids insisted on chasing the red squirrels away. Rosie didn't want to leave, but we had to catch the hydrofoil back again and Simon enjoyed a nap as we did so.

what stunning pics xx
Hello,
Thanks for sharing the pics. Hope to speak to you tonight, but just thought you might like to know that last night when I went to bed, Crystal was settled there with Tess so she seems to be adapting quite well. You can see a photo from another occasion on Facebook.
