Well we didn't plan to stay here 3 days but we are having such a nice time we stayed on. Weather is quite hot and muggy but there is usually a breeze blowing and it's OK in the shade.

Have been going for long walks up the beach and back through town each day. Spent some time yesterday uploading the photos to the blog etc

Took a quick run up to Mossman yesterday arvo to get a new aerial for the TV ... it's called the "Happy Wanderer" - anyway it's made me happy..!!

Already met some interesting people - the couple next door are over 80 years old (actually 'Ben' is 84 and he was telling me that he was an engineer who spent a lot of time in the foundry industry) and have been coming up for a few years - good on them I reckon. Hope I'm still traveling up that age.

Invited 2 guys from the site on our other side over for a drink before dinner. They have a very tidy 5th wheeler with shower, dunny, washing machine etc. They are basically retired and spend most of their time either cruising around the oceans or traveling around AUS. The older guy was from Manchester in the UK originally and the other was a Kiwi. Very interesting to talk to - they currently hail from Potts Point in Sydney.

This really is a nice layed back sort of place and we could easily spend more time here. We haven't even got into the tourist type activities and the days have still flown by.

Anyway, off to Cooktown tomorrow - no more dilly dallying!! Should be an interesting trip up the ranges.
