Boston is full of history. Anyone who loves the history channel would agree that to see where the birth of our nation and the spark to the Revolutionary War began would feel as what I felt .. My patriotism runs deep. The Freedom trail consist of 16 historic sites along a 2.5 mile path that leads you through the heart of Boston. http://www.thefreedomtrail.org/ . Along the way you see Pau Revere's old house .. his gravesite.. and the church in which he hung the lantern to warn of the British arriving. The Boston Massacre happen along the trail as well. Usually the trail starts from the Oldest battleship "The Constitution" or " Bunker Hill" to the Boston Commons, however I thought it was more appropriate for me being a sailor after all is to have the reward at the end being "old Ironside" herself.
Along the way I witnessed something extraordinary .. A Navy Chief selectee indoctrination .. The U.S.Navy's tradition goes as far back as "old Ironsides " herself. Feeling the cobble stone streets below my feet I know that this was only a part of the Bostonian history that lies here.
