It is all happening! Little Yve is going out sailing the seven seas or maybe just two, but you know, still pretty major ;)

Anthony is taking me as a deckie on his sailboat a Ketch called Grain de Sable.

Apart from the one time where I decided to go with Flo to Malaysia after knowing him for one evening, this is probably the sickest thing I'm about to do. It's a voyage in a very different setting. This will be the ultimate test in life, the next test will be a pregnancy or something, if I ever go there..

Well we cleaned the life raft already, so that's all good. On Friday we're gonna stock up our supplies and than I'm about to learn how to sail a 38 footer yacht. If everything goes alright I'll come back to Europe in a year or two by boat. Man life is grand ;)

21.04.09 The voyage starts today!

And Mum, don't worry, I'll be fine and back! Thanks for letting me do this!

24.04.09 Geraldton - first stop

After a four day passage up to Geraldton, I thought I'm pretty much dead...

I threw up more than I can count on one hand and therefore couldn't really keep much food in my stomach at all.

Well but we made it up here and Anthony has been pretty nice with a sick Yve not being much company at all.

I thought a lot about that book I read "The life of pi" I know now how Mr. Parker the tiger must have felt like.

Hopefully I'll get used to all that wave up, wave down, wave up, wave down...

We're still in Gerladton repairing stuff on the boat. And again Yve is sewing *gg* this time sails ;)

It seems like everybody I travel with I'm sewing for. Maybe I'm more like my granny than I thought ;) (she's a tailor)

And hey, I'm getting used to the little waves so far, we'll see how the passage to the Abrohlos is going to be.
