Where I stayed
Wild camping along Robinson Bay
Since the weather did not improve, we decided to leave Okains Bay after breakfast to look for a nice cafe to update our blog. But before we left we had a quick, cold shower because there was not enough sunlight to power up the solar-heated showers. We had a glance at the beach, which must be a paradise with good weather, before driving back to Akaroa. After a short search and some souvenir shopping we found the Akaroa Cinema & Cafe, where we spent most of the afternoon writing our blog. The cinema was specializes in art-house movies and is frequented by the local seniors. There were to theaters with each about 30 seats. Soooo cute!! We went to see The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in Swedish but with English subtitle. Our blond hair and funny language promoted the seniors to ask us for help in the translation if they would not be fast enough reading the subtitles. LoL The film was gripping with a very exciting story. After the movie we looked for a place to sleep somewhere along the Akaroa harbor. We found a nice but busy spot close to Robinson Bay.
