As Browny pointed out, the gloomy weather and incessant rain may have unfairly malaigned this city, but we spent little time there anyway, swiftly heading up to Oslo the next morning with a lovely train rides through immense amounts of trees and little multi-coloured wooden houses straight out of fairytales!

As it was though, constant rain will be our lasting impression of this city, and the basis of a swooping generalisation over the whole of Sweden... jolly good!

Gothenburg scores... a lowly 4/10 I'm afraid. It wasn't good. It wasn't bad. The weather wasn't kind to it.
The best things: When we eventually figured them out, the trams were good. And the hostel free breakfast (there was chocolates!)
The worst things: I think the weather has this one tied down. Not that it can help it. But ya know, constant rain in summer... not what you want.
Repeat Visit? Considering as we actually saw little of it, yes. Provided the weather is fabulous of course.
