Maybe I should get up at 4am everyday if the sunrise is as good as it was today...
We rolled out of Kelibi at 5am, bleary eyed and looking to catch a bit more rest on the bus. Around 50 mins later we stopped over Chott El Fejaj to see the sun come up. We were smack bang in the middle of the salt plains, and I could barely believe a road had been constructed in the middle of them.
Anyway, the pictures definitely tell this story. When we arrived:

It seemed to take an eternity for the sun to come. It didn't help matters that our guide was trying to usher us onto to the bus, making threats that we needed to leave. They even started the bus engine, and everyone else got on. Myself and Robin stayed down to wait for the sunrise with our cameras, reasoning that they wouldn't actually leave without us, and plus we hadn't flippin got up at 4am to sit on that bus... Sure enough the sun came up soon after, and everyone that had just got back on the bus was instructed to get back off to see the sunrise!!

So it was pretty powerful, good job we stayed! Now for a much needed power nap...
